OSAP
The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) provides financial assistance to help students finance their education. Students must apply for OSAP online at http://osap.gov.on.ca
By completing the OSAP application, students are automatically assessed for loan and grant assistance through government grant programs. Since applications require approximately four weeks to process, applying early is advised. To inquire about the status of your application, you should visit the OSAP website at http://osap.gov.on.ca (please note that your Social Insurance Number and password are required to "Check Your Status" on your OSAP account.)
CHANGES IN YOUR OSAP FUNDING
Changes in your OSAP funding can be found by logging into your OSAP account and reviewing your account.
If you are required to submit supporting documentation to finalize your OSAP funding, please click on "Student must provide supporting documentation" which will provide details of the documents you need to provide. This message will remain under your Checklist until the documentation has been processed and approved.
To check on the date that your funding was issued, or if you are entitled to additional funding, c lick on "Total Funding Issued for all years" to determine the date that your OSAP loan document was printed. Your loan document should arrive at the Financial Aid Office 10 days the issued date.
OSAP PASSWORD RESET
If you cannot access your OSAP account due to an invalid password, you may take your Social Insurance Card and government issued photo I.D. to a Financial Aid office at any post secondary institution in Ontario to have your password reset.
